Full Moon in Taurus: Fertilize With Fire

Something you are carrying isn't good enough for your future life. Something you are holding onto tightly isn't nourishing you.

Full Moon in Taurus: Fertilize With Fire

Tomorrow, Wednesday November 5, I'm co-facilitating an in-person Full Moon Fire Ceremony (tickets on sale through Wednesday 12pm!) with The Intuitive Collective. We are circling around the sacred flames to take intentional action towards our personal and collective transformation. I've decided to share the words I'm speaking to the group as an offering for your own personal reflection. The astrology of the moment is a spotlight on your inner life, and I hope you rise to engage with it intentionally.

There are many questions below that I encourage you use as journal prompts or card pull topics. I hope you find time to honor this sacred cycle of the Sun and Moon in their dance of light and shadow.

A Planetary Spotlight

Full moons prompt enlightenment and completions. They can bring a celebration of what's working or an illumination of what's not.

There is a tension you can feel in your bones. An electricity you wake up with buzzing in your body. It's imperative that you ground this energy every day–especially today when the Sun fully illuminates the Moon, the closest "planetary body" to our own bodies.

The Taurus Moon is ruled by Venus in her other home sign Libra. Venus is squaring an exalted Jupiter in Cancer and approaching a square with Pluto in Aquarius. Squares create tension and demand action or change.

Mars, the ruler of the Sun in Scorpio and planet of war, conflict, ambition, and drive has just moved into Sagittarius and is opposing Uranus in Gemini, the great inventor, chaos agent, and revolutionary. This is a time that upsets the apple cart, that electrifies our rage, that demands innovation with a shout or a battle cry.

The Taurus Moon is exalted. She wants stability, security, lush growth, and the simple sensuality of being alive. Taurus wants to hold on. Scorpio demands we learn to let go. The Sun in Scorpio shines on topics such as the death and rebirth cycle, what lies hidden beneath the surface, and what is being transformed into nutrition through the natural composting cycle of endings and beginnings.

These signs partner in the garden of life. We all experience these cycles of life and death throughout our lives in many ways. Something is dying and becoming fertilizer to feed what is arising from the soil, alive and thriving. But we know it's hard to let go of what makes us feel secure and whatever gives us the appearance of safety and comfort.

Your courage is necessary in this moment.

What will you choose to throw into the fire to be transmuted?

What will you let go to fertilize your growth?

Something has to end for us to have a beginning.

Revolutionary Belonging

The topics coming up for review at this time could be love, pleasure, and creativity (Venus in Libra), and family, ancestors, home, and homeland (Jupiter in Cancer). What are you holding onto that's grown stale or stagnant in these areas? Are these topics working in partnership in your life, or are they clashing and causing friction? Does anything related to these topics need to shift or be released?

We see these themes alive in the collective as well. The call to love our neighbor and welcome strangers into our lands is loud with Jupiter in Cancer squaring off with Venus in Libra–the sign of the scales of Justice. Jupiter is in the power position in this aspect, daring us to step up for all those who need a safe home and protections. Daring us to nurture those whom others want to shun. Calling us out of our comfort zones into the workings of a greater collective rebalancing that serves everyone across all borders.

Mars in Sagittarius opposing Uranus in Gemini is loudly disruptive energy. It pushes us to move forward with passion and fire toward our beliefs and values. There is a fight between what we know as higher truth and what the world is feeding us as fearful noise and lies to keep us complacent and divided instead of activated and united.

Remember that we are all One, and we rise together.

Perhaps new inventions, ideas, and opportunities for innovation will rise up from the compost of these dense energies and old, false realities that we have been fed about who we should be and who we are as a collective humanity. Uranus in Gemini calls us to open wider in insight and consider everyone our equal. This revolutionary spirit is energizing our minds, communication, and connections.

Like Kindling

As we gaze into the fire together, allow the intensity of this season to be felt without fear. Venus squaring Pluto can feel like the depths of our connections are being tested, like our sense of justice and balance is being shaken from the core. Do not fear what you cannot see.

Pluto challenges us from beneath, deep under the bedrock. Sometimes its call is loud and the foundations you thought were never going to budge are suddenly shaken and cracked open. And other times it feels like a subtle but constant weight or shadow inside your chest that won't go away. The pull of "This isn't working anymore" and "Something has to change." "No more secrets." "No more false peace." The whispers become shouts. We can't ignore them anymore.

It's easy to see this collectively, but the collective is also a mirror of the personal.

What parts of us are we shunning?

What parts of us need to be loved louder?

How are we settling for less than what we are worth?

Something you are carrying isn't good enough for your future life. Something you are holding onto tightly isn't nourishing you. Old patterns have been running unchecked for too long and must be broken and burned like kindling in the fire.

Calling all Magicians

So, what do we do after shedding our old selves and releasing what isn't working anymore? We harness the energy and direct it like the magicians we are. Energy never dies, it is simply transformed. Wood is fuel that feeds the fire which expels heat and light. We harness that light for our powerful intentions. Imagine the light and heat entering your body, like energetic fertilizer for your internal garden. Fueling your life. Nurturing your next chapter.

Taurus represents our sacred, sensual body that can feel the heat, hear the crackling flames, smell the wood burning, gaze into the light, and then take intentional, aligned steps toward growth.

The Moon reflects the light of the Sun. We take the light of what is dying and being transmuted in Scorpio and reflect that light in our bodies–Taurus. Under this full Moon we take in the fire's energy through our sacred temple of the body so that this spiritual, energetic act becomes grounded abundance and a pleasurable life.

What part of your life is crying out from beneath to be transformed?

What has to be burned to be born anew?

This is your spiritual task.
